What You Can & Can't Bring

What can I bring?

  • Your ID, tickets, and wristband

  • Bags are permitted but will be searched

  • Reusable water bottles (just be sure they're empty at entry)

  • Sunscreen, hats, and ear protection for extra comfort

What can't I bring?

  • Pets (unless they’re service dogs)

  • Outside food or drinks

  • Big bags, backpacks, or coolers

  • Weapons, drugs, or alcohol

  • Fireworks or anything explosive

Can I bring a camera?

  • Yes! Just please leave the professional cameras with detachable lenses at home.

General Ticket Questions

Where can I buy tickets for Shipyard Shindig?

Tickets are available online through https://shipyardshindig.eventbrite.com. Early bird tickets are available for $30 plus tax until they sell out or May 15. General Admission will be available for $40 plus tax until the day before the festival.

Do I need to print my ticket, or can I show it on my phone?

You can show your ticket on your phone for entry.
We recommend saving it beforehand in case of connectivity issues.

Will tickets be available at the gate?

If the event doesn’t sell out in advance, a limited number of tickets may be available at the gate for $50 plus tax via https://shipyardshindig.eventbrite.com. However, we highly recommend purchasing early to save and secure your spot!

Is there a difference between online and gate ticket prices?

Yes! Early Bird tickets are available for $30 plus tax until they sell our or May 15. After that General Admission tickets will be available for $40 plus tax until the day before the event. If not sold out in advance, limited tickets may be available on the day of the festival for $50 plus tax. Get your ticket early to save! All tickets will be purchased through Eventbrite.

Early Bird &Ticket Pricing Questions

What is Early Bird Pricing?

Early Bird tickets are discounted rate of $30 plus tax available for a limited quantity of tickets before Advance pricing of $40 plus tax kicks in. Gate tickets will be available for $50 only if Advance don't sell out.

How long does Early Bird Pricing last?

Early Bird tickets are available for $30 plus tax while quantities last or until May 15. Get yours before prices go up to Advance tickets at $40 plus tax. Gate tickets will $50 plus tax on the day of the festival ond available only if they don't sell out in advance.

Can I still get Early Bird pricing if I buy my ticket last minute?

No, once $30 Early Bird tickets sell out or the deadline passes only $40 Advance tickets will be available. If the event doesn't sell out in advance, tickets will be $50 at the Gate via Eventbrite.

Are there any discounts for groups or families?

The best discounts are available for buying early! Be sure to get your tickets before prices go up. See info on tickets for kids under age of 12 below.

Refund & Transfer Questions

What is the refund policy?

Tickets are non-refundable. However, you may be able to transfer your ticket to someone else via Eventbrite.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes! If you can’t attend, you can transfer your ticket via Eventbrite.

What happens if the event is canceled or postponed?

The Shipyard Shindig is happening rain or shine. If it is canceled, ticket holders will receive information on refunds.  If it is postponed further announcement with reschedule dates or location will be provided.

Accessibility & Entry Questions

Is there a separate entrance for Early Bird ticket holders?

No - it's all one entrance!

Is the event accessible for people with disabilities?

Yes! We strive to make Shipyard Shindig accessible to everyone. If you have specific needs, contact us in advance.

Can I leave and re-enter the festival?

Yes, you can leave and re-enter until 7pm for security purposes. After 7pm there is no re-entry once you leave.

General Application Questions

Who can apply to be part of Shipyard Shindig?

How do I apply?

Visit the Vendors page on our website and fill out the form.

Is there an application deadline?

We will take applications until all spaces have been filled. Check out the Vendors page to apply.

Is there an application fee?

No, applying is free! If selected, vendors and food trucks may have a booth or participation fee.

Band & Performer Questions

What kind of music or performances are you looking for?

We love a mix of genres—rock, folk, indie, electronic, and more! If you bring energy and creativity, we want you on stage.

Do artists get paid?

Yes, selected performers receive compensation. Details will be discussed upon acceptance.

Do you provide sound equipment?

Yes, we provide a full sound setup, but performers should bring their instruments and any specialty gear.

Market Vendors and Food Trucks Questions

What types of vendors are you accepting?

We welcome artisans, crafters, and small businesses selling handmade or locally sourced goods.

How much does it cost to be a vendor?

Booth fees are consistent with other Bridgewater markets. More details are available on the application forms.

Do I need a permit to sell food at the festival?

Yes, all food vendors must have the proper health and safety permits. We’ll provide guidance on requirements.

What are the setup and teardown times?

Vendors and food trucks will receive detailed setup instructions closer to the event date.

Volunteer Questions

What do volunteers do?

Volunteers help with event setup, guest assistance, artist support, sustainability efforts, and more.

Do volunteers get free entry?

Yes! Volunteers get a festival pass, exclusive perks, and a behind-the-scenes experience.

How long are volunteer shifts?

Shifts vary but are usually 4-6 hours. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the festival!

Can I volunteer with friends?

Absolutely! Let us know, and we’ll do our best to schedule you together.

Animal Questions

Can I bring my dog to the festival?

No, dogs and pets are not allowed at the festival for safety and comfort reasons.

Why are dogs not allowed?

Festivals can be overwhelming for pets and may cause discomfort or safety concerns. We also want to ensure a comfortable environment for all attendees.

Can I bring my service dog?

Yes, service dogs are welcome. Please keep them on a leash and under control at all times.

Kids Questions

Are kids allowed?

Yes! While our festival is mostly for adults, we’re happy to welcome kids. It can get loud and crowded, so keep that in mind.

How many kids can I bring per adult?

You may bring up to 2 children per adult. Each child under 12 years old gets in for free with a paying adult.

Are there activities for kids?

Our festival is designed with adults in mind, so most activities may not be ideal for younger kids, but feel free to enjoy the music and atmosphere together!

Can I bring a stroller or baby carrier?

Absolutely! Just be mindful of the crowds and ensure your little one’s safety and comfort.
